BEACH / PUNK / PATHETIC

On exhibit for the first time, this show is an opportunity to see these photographs en mass in an exhibit curated by the artist himself, following his aesthetic philosophy of rhizomatic creativity.

The photos show a wide range of emotional connections the artist has with the Beach, Punks and the Pathetic aspects of culture from the inside. They are often comic, and above all show the rigidity and persistence of the human condition in the face of nature and the often repressive forces of society.

“FIRST FRIDAY” event

This exhibition initiated by Australian artist Kurt Brereton is concerned with the notion of expanded art. How art can exist across space and time in different places (galleries, streets, homes, bodies, media etc) through  the launching of RHIZODATA. That is, information in both analogy and digital forms that seeks to expand in a lateral fashion through the growth of ART NODES. An art node is a creative locality or a gathering point for where data is generated. This can be in a studio, on a mobile phone, computer, school, collective or gallery.
